Last night William and I swooped past
Slate Gallery for a quick art sharking of their new group exhibition. There was a lot of great work, including pieces by many artists we know such as Brian Gladwell, Joe Fafard, Michael Hosaluk, and Lorne Beug (we were there too early to see most of them) but the one piece that we left the gallery talking about was a strange wall-mounted donkey head sculpture with real hay hanging out of its mouth by Don Thompson. I don't know Thompson so am uncertain if he was there or not, but this was really worth stopping past to see.
