In my fourth day of teaching I began the new graduate seminar for the MFA students. There are only three in the group so it will combine the intensity of one on one teaching with the benefits of group discussion. I'm excited. The rest of the day was spent getting ready for the MacKenzie screening next week. This evening we went to "Hotel Transylvania" which was designed well and somewhat funny but seemed very poorly directed. Quite often the gags were deflated by awkward compositions or overly active camera movements. I began imagining the possibility that a CG film such as this could actually be reshot with entirely different direction without significant difference. I wonder if this would ever happen?
