Played a very interesting game called "Microscope" with Allan and Chad. It has no random elements and no winner/loser situation but also is not collaborative and is very often surprising. You establish some parameters of a historic time (we chose to play between a period of humans cowering in caves to hide from terrible creatures to the humans having cities and beginning to go out to sea to find new lands). The story then gets very odd as pieces are filled in randomly in the middle, based entirely on the players' imaginations and restricted only by the written words from previous turns.
