Here is why store bought perogies are to be avoided. Even though these were hand made, I had about a quarter of them visibly begin opening during the boiling from frozen process. As they still had integrity (due to semi-frozen nature) I scooped them out to be fried later. Regardless, without a keen eye, dinner would have been perogies boiled in potato soup.
