We went to the opening night of The Island, a brand new play by Kenn McLeod and Jed Tomlinson with Hectik Theatre. It is about two clowns shipwrecked on a desert island. The performances were very fun, reminding me of Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton (I would not be surprised if this were part of the inspiration). Abstract and playful but also biting and thoughtful; we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The audience was small but I'm certain everyone had a good time. William even got to be a shark. It is on for another four nights and highly recommend taking it in.
