We went to see Romeo and Juliet at the Globe Theatre this evening. William is currently studying it in school; his first time studying Shakespeare but certainly not the first of the plays he's seen. The performance was pretty solid. I particularly liked Nurse and Juliet's father; both with done in fresh, energetic ways.
They built a minimal but evocative swiveling stage which made playing to the round a bit more interesting. The lighting was good and I liked the addition of a dozen practicals hanging high above the stage.
