Ian Campbell came into my animation class this week and generously taught us about his techniques for building miniatures out of found objects. I had a lot of fun. I'm hoping that the animation room contain a "builder's corner" where we can glue, paint, and otherwise fabricate background pieces and props for puppet animation.
