15 years at the UofR

Today I received my 15 year pin for the University where I've been employed (very happily) since 1999. I had a class mid-way through the event so I couldn't stay to see all the speeches, which is unfortunate as the more senior presenters are often quite interesting. While it isn't really important to attend these sorts of events, I am always more aware of the names which are called out with no reply than the ones that people step up to. I don't like the idea of my name hanging in the air when I am not around. Besides, there was lots of cake.
