On Friday I managed to get the winning bid on a card-sized original Joe Fafard drawing which was auctioned as a fundraiser for the Regina Food Bank (Cards from the HeArt campaign). I went to the CBC this morning and picked it up. I'm very pleased. The details and textures are far better in person than from the image they displayed online for the bidding. I guess I'm fortunate that the bidding was a bit obtuse and a person can only find out what the bidding is at by placing a bid (Margaret had come home from the afternoon session where she was doing a painting and told me that some of the works didn't have bids on them yet). The minimum bid was still significant, but much less than I'd get a Fafard from a gallery.
